The Town of Wellesley determined that the first priority among several possible school projects had to be renovations to the Fiske and Schofield Elementary Schools. Dore & Whittier was selected to be their Owner's Project Manager. The scope of work included renovating the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, structural upgrades for code compliance related to fire safety and accessibility, and installation of architectural and thermal elements to cost effectively extend the useful life of the buildings. Construction occured during the summer break periods of 2015 and 2016 which were carefully planed and sequenced to have the least impact on activities on the premises. These renovation projects lengthed the lives of the buildings, improved the environmental conditions, and brought 21st Century Learning elements into the program.
