Ralph C. Mahar Regional School // Orange, Massachusetts

Technology, athletics, and performing arts are central to student life at the Ralph C. Mahar Regional School, and all these elements were emphasized in the design. Part renovation (30,000 sq. ft.) and part new construction (150,000 sq. ft.), the school was designed to be highly energy efficient. The project was carefully sequenced to minimize disruptions and keep school in session during construction. Sustainable materials were used throughout, and the interior is bathed in natural light to make students more comfortable and productive.
