US Fish & Wildlife - Craig Brook National Fish Hatchery
East Orland, Maine

Dore & Whittier designed this state-of-the-art facility to replace the original Craig Brook Hatchery, built in 1889. The facility is dedicated to restoring the original genetic strains of wild Atlantic salmon to 10 river systems feeding the coast of Maine. It was designed with modular and flexible systems so the hatchery can simulate the unique environmental conditions of each river to support incubation and rearing of the salmon.
